Nov 18, 2004
Dear GV.NET Wireless Internet Customer:
The following changes to GVNET Wireless Internet pricing starting
Jan 1, 2005. Most GVNET Wireless Internet Customers will NOT be
affected by this change. The new pricing introduces a new account type,
based on high usage. This change will impact only about 5% of GVNET
Wireless Customers.
$49 Basic Service Package
Includes 3GB/mo data transfers, not to exceed 500MB in a single
day.
$0.05/MB for data transfers exceeding 3GB/mo or 500MB/day
$79 Extended Service Package
Includes 6GB/mo data transfers, not to exceed 500MB/day
$0.05/MB for data transfers exceeding 6GB/mo or 500MB/day
The 3GB transfer allowance averages out to about 100MB per day. Most
users fall into this group. This new pricing policy will help us provide
better network performance.

Customers are urged to read GVNET TERMS AND CONDITIONS and WIRELESS
INTERNET AGREEMENT.

We have made changes to our agreements. Of particular importance are those
paragraphs pertaining to infected or compromised computers, disruption of
networks,
and spamming. Many of the throughput problems on our BigAir network have
been as a result of intruder attacks from compromised customer computers
on our LWW network. In response, we have changed our rules to require
up-to-date virus/intrusion detection software to help prevent their
devastating effects on our network. We recommend Comtech systems or Ben
Hannebrink for those unfamiliar with installing this type of software.
This software has become extremely important for those connected to the
Internet. Recently, a GVNET customer had his computer compromised by an
Internet intruder. The intruder found enough information in his email to
make charges to his credit card, and apply for a new credit card in his
name before being discovered.
Please call or email us with any questions or concerns.
