  1. Open Netscape Communicator.
  2. From the menu bar, click Edit and select Preferences.
  3. When the preferences window appears, select "identity" under "Mail & Newsgroups"
  4. Enter Your Name and email address in the appropriate text boxes.


  5. Next, select "Mail Servers".
  6. Click the Add button.


  7. Enter mail.gv.net in the Server Name text box
  8. The Server Type should be POP3.
  9. Enter your USERNAME in the User Name text box.
  10. Click the POP tab.

  11. Be sure that the "Leave messages on server" box is unchecked.
  12. Click OK.

  13. Next, fill out the "Outgoing Mail Server" Information.
  14. Enter smtp.gv.net in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box.
  15. Enter you USERNAME in the Outgoing mail server username text box.
  16. Click OK.

  17. To start the messenger, select Messenger from the Communicator menu.
